My
journey
My journey to movement began with classical ballet. From my first lessons at elementary art school and the ballet preparatory class at the National Theatre, through eight years of study at the Prague Dance Conservatory, I gradually discovered that dance is not just technique. It's an experience. Movement that breathes.
At HAMU I found space for deeper exploration. Dance became a dialogue between body, mind and environment for me. I obtained a BcA degree and in my master's studies I continue to focus on connecting movement with nature, breath, attention and perceiving the body as a whole.
Today I work as a dancer, performer, yoga instructor and movement and dance workshop teacher. Occasionally you can also find me behind the drums, which are another form of movement for me.
In my work I draw from somatics, Eastern philosophies and everyday experience. From classical ballet through folk dances, modern and contemporary dance. Each style has left its mark on me and has become part of what I pass on today.
I believe that the body has its own wisdom. And that every movement can be a path to understanding oneself and others.
